Buying a Snowboard, help please?

Well I just got into snowboarding this winter, and I pretty had fun with it, I dont mind doing it every year. I rent whenever I go up, but decided why not buy a board. I saved up over $300 for a board, my question is that I hear they're are different boards for different styles that people like to ride? What is the difference from a board that cost say 200 vs a 1000? Is it quality Im assuming? What kind of styles are there? How much do boots and straps cost and do they come together?
