Killing a snake in your dreams?

in my dream there was a rattle snake in a jar it would keep coming out at us and i had a machete in my hand. every time it came out i would swing and miss it this happen about 3 or 4 times then i came out and i cut off it head and there was a man it the dream that wanted to make a pair of boots out of the snake sink.
