Experiences with the Art institute?

I am currently in college in South Carolina but their major of Studio Art is very broad. I love art and would like to do something more hands on that I can also benefit from by getting to an art/creative field. There is only one physical art school in our state that I know of. I was wondering if the Art Institute is a good/bad school. A friend of mine goes there and says it's a good school. I've been seeing people say it's a scam and what not, but I'm not sure what to think of it since there is many mixed reviews.My question is if anyone is a current/graduated student from there and what your experience is/was.
